Scott and I met Suzie at the Marsham Court Hotel, which is situated by the sea front in Bournemouth. The perfect spot for a relaxed summers wedding!

Suzie she told us all about her wedding plans and that her dress was blue as she wanted something a little different from the traditional white, so I was very excited to see the dress and all the details on their wedding day! It soon came round to Suzie and Joseph’s Big day. As we arrived at Marsham Court Hotel we met Joseph in the gardens and he introduced us to his Best man and the ushers.

We had a wonder around the venue taking some candids of the guests mingling in the bar, before we headed up to the Bridal Suite to see how Suzie was getting on with her preparations.

Suzie had music playing and was very relaxed as she was getting ready, she didn’t seem nervous at all. She looked stunning in her blue and ivory dress and I especially liked her matching hand-made head piece.

We took some lovely details and some shots of Suzie and her mother before leaving them to it! The bridesmaids looked fabulous too! We made our way to the ceremony room, which was decorated with beautiful blue Delphiniums and ivory Gerbera daisies and awaited the arrival of the Bride!

The ceremony was relaxed and full of laughter and tears a very personal ceremony, with readings from friends and family. We especially liked the poem about two Dinosaurs that fall in love, which brought a smile to everyone’s face during the ceremony!

The fierce Dinosaur was trapped inside his cage of ice. Although it was cold he was happy in there. It was, after all, his cage.

Then along came the Lovely Other Dinosaur.
The Lovely Other Dinosaur melted the Dinosaur’s cage with kind words and loving thoughts.

I like this Dinosaur thought the Lovely Other Dinosaur.
Although he is fierce he is also tender and he is funny.
He is also quite clever though I will not tell him this for now.

I like this Lovely Other Dinosaur, thought the Dinosaur. She is beautiful and she is different and she smells so nice.
She is also a free spirit which is a quality I much admire in a dinosaur.

But he can be so distant and so peculiar at times, thought the Lovely Other Dinosaur.
He is also overly fond of things.
Are all Dinosaurs so overly fond of things?

But her mind skips from here to there so quickly thought the Dinosaur. She is also uncommonly keen on shopping.
Are all Lovely Other Dinosaurs so uncommonly keen on shopping?

I will forgive his peculiarity and his concern for things, thought the Lovely Other Dinosaur. For they are part of what makes him a richly charactered individual.

I will forgive her skipping mind and her fondness for shopping, thought the Dinosaur. For she fills our life with beautiful thoughts and wonderful surprises. Besides, I am not unkeen on shopping either.

Now the Dinosaur and the Lovely Other Dinosaur are old.
Look at them.
Together they stand on the hill telling each other stories and feeling the warmth of the sun on their backs.

And that, my friends, is how it is with love.
Let us all be Dinosaurs and Lovely Other Dinosaurs together.
For the sun is warm.
And the world is a beautiful place.

Newly wed Mr and Mrs Chilcraft and guests made their way out onto the back garden, where confetti was thrown and congratulations were given.

We them made our way to the front lawn to take some group shots on the front lawn. The flowers were out in full bloom, making for some colourful photographs!

Once the group shots were complete we whisked Suzie and Joseph off for a short while to take some more relaxed and romantic shots by the pool and on the balcony.

I also caught a glimpse of Jo’s magnificent waistcoat which again matched their blue theme, he also had a lovely old fashioned pocket watch! The details were well thought out and really made their day special!

Before we left the wedding party to enjoy their sit down meal we took a posed cutting of the cake. Suzie had designed their wedding cake , which was covered in marshmallows from top to bottom!

Suzie and Jo were a pleasure to photograph and they really enjoyed themselves on their special day, making for some fun shots. You can always tell when a couple are really close and Suzie and Jo sure were-we wish you both all the best in your future together!
