Dudsbury Golf Club Wedding-A Tale of Romance…
October 7th, 2009.We first met with Charlotte & James, what seems like many months ago, at The Kings Head in Wimborne to discuss their wedding plans. They were to be wed at All Saints Church in West Parley. The church was beautiful and quite unusual with its white spire. The key to the church is the original and the biggest I have ever seen!
Charlotte & James are both historians and met at the Priest House Museum in Wimborne, where their romance began. We got to meet some of their colleagues who were awaiting Charlotte’s arrival at the church on their wedding day! Charlotte now works at the Russell Cotes Gallery in Bournemouth, both fascinating museums and well worth a visit!
We arrived at All Saints Church and it was a glorious sunny day, just what we had hoped for! We met with James and his Best Man, Tim to take some casual shots before awaiting Charlotte’s arrival in a vintage Austin.
Charlotte soon arrived with her father and looked beautiful in her dress. I especially liked her blue and yellow bouquet, the flowers were gorgeous!
The guests were seated and the wedding ceremony then began. Charlotte and James had a traditional wedding ceremony, with the guests standing for the exchanging of their vows. The ceremony was intimate with close friends and family gathered in the tiny church.
Charlotte and James then signed the register in the vestry before making their way onto the church lawn where there were congratulations and confetti!
We all made our way to Dudsbury Golf Club. Charlotte & James made their celebrity styled entrance on the red carpet before disappearing (with us) off to the lake in a golf buggy. For a little time together and so we could make the most of the stunning backdrop of Dudsbury Golf Course.
There is a large lake and bridge in the grounds, with willow trees, you just have to be wary of flying golf balls!
It was very peaceful down by the lake and the perfect spot to take some more romantic shots of the newly weds!
Before leaving Charlotte and James to enjoy their wedding breakfast we took some details of Bentley’s Restaurant, which looked magnificent. The room is decorated with Chandeliers, a swanky bar and has ornate chairs to seat guests. It really was the perfect setting for Charlotte and James to carry on their wedding celebrations.
We wish Charlotte & James all the best and hope they enjoyed their trip to Venice!
Photographs with thanks & congratulations to Mr & Mrs Webb!
