I had the privilege of photographing Katherine and Craig's wedding on the 22nd May. We had been looking forward to shooting their wedding for some time! When you see the photographs you will see why. Katherine and Craig put so much preparation in to their wedding to ensure it was FUN! Their guests arrived at St. Andrews church in Okeford Fitzpaine in a vintage Route master bus, so even the journey to the wedding was extraordinary. The ceremony was beautiful and the church was decorated with pink flowers throughout.
The sun shone all day long and was the hottest day we have had this year so far! Katherine and Craig made their way to The Crown, in Blandford Forum in a stylish black and white vintage car, while their guests hopped back on the bus, along with myself!
The Crown's gardens were the perfect setting to enjoy this sunny afternoon, guests mingled and soon made their way to the wedding breakfast in The Sealy Suite. We joined the speeches to hear childhood memories of Katherine from her father and a detailed overview of the Grooms Stag Do, including an awards ceremony for the event-the boys were later to drink from the trophies they were given!
As the evening commenced and the sun began to set, the Ice Sculpture came into its own. The Best Man poured shots of flavoured Vodka through the sculpture (of a giant hand pouring a bottle) for all the guests, which was such fun and made for some great action shots.
The Disco then began and Craig and Katherine made their way onto the dance floor for their first dance. They began dancing to Alicia Keys 'Empire State of Mind' (Craig proposed to Katherine in New York) and ended with a 90's dance tune to which friends and family joined them on the dance floor, the lights dimmed and the glow sticks came out! This first dance turned into a rave....
Photographs with congratulations and thanks to Mr & Mrs Dandridge!
