At the weekend we met with Anna & Johnny for tea & coffee at The Salt Cellar in Shaftesbury to talk over their wedding plans & get to know them a little before their wedding day. Anna & Johnny are planning a relaxed day, full of personal touches in Selborne village, Hampshire where they both grew up.

We made our way down the beautiful cobbled street of Gold Hill, which is said to be one of the most romantic sights in England & then headed to the park by Shaftesbury Abbey.  We were lucky to avoid the rain, which came down just as we were finishing up. We all took shelter in the village hall, where there was a lovely antique & bric-a-brac market.

We can't wait for their wedding at Gilbert White's House & Gardens, it sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun!

Kelly & Matt are getting married at Pennsylvania Castle in Portland. We met up with them both to explore the Castle also know as Penn and to take a look around the grounds.

The view from the gardens is incredible and looks out to the sea and coastline of Portland. Kelly & Matt will be getting married outside in the gardens and so their ceremony will in beautiful surroundings.

We wondered around the gardens and then down the path which leads through woodland and to the coast; we passed St Andrews Church ruins where pirates grave stones lay! The Castle is a hidden gem of Portland and we can't wait to photograph there again in a few weeks time!

We met with Holly & Ian on a cold winters morning at The Larmer Tree Gardens. It was -3 degrees and it really was freezing! So I would like to thank Holly & Ian for putting up with the cold for their engagement photographs. 

The Larmer Tree Gardens is one of our favourite venues and we are so lucky that it is just up the road from us. It is a great venue for those looking for an outdoor wedding ceremony and it is set in the most stunning gardens. There are a number of buildings in the gardens which you can choose to hold your ceremony. 

One of my favourite parts of the garden is the Singing Theatre, it's so unique and full of character. We are really looking forward to Holly & Ian's wedding in May & hopefully it will have warmed up by then!

A couple of weeks ago we met up with Andrea & Jon to have a look around their venues in preparation for their wedding later this year.  We met at All Saints Church in Lullington, a beautiful village set in the Frome countryside. We were made to feel very welcome by everyone who were having coffee & biscuits following Sunday service.

We then made our way to Orchardleigh House near Bath.  The drive through the Estate was impressive and the House even more so! Andrea & Jon will have access to all the rooms on their wedding day, which are all full of character as we found out whilst exploring with Andrea & Jonny.

Orchardleigh House is set in the most stunning countryside and is surrounded by rolling fields. We made use of the gardens for Andrea & Jon's Engagement Shoot. You can see how cold it had been the night before as the lake had frozen over!

Andrea & Jonny were a pleasure to be with and we can't wait for their wedding in June!

We met with Lisa & Adrian one chilly afternoon to take a look around their wedding venue, Kingston Country Courtyard near Swanage. 

We then went on to St. Nicholas Church in Studland, set in the beautiful seaside village in walking distance of Studland beach.

This area is one of the most beautiful parts of the Isle of Purbeck and is equally beautiful in Winter as it is in Summer. I loved the cool winter light, which made the sand seem almost blue.

By the end of the shoot I couldn't feel my toes & we were all feeling the cold, but I think it was well worth it!

We photographed Sam & Alex's wedding & reception aboard the SS Great Britain last Summer and were contacted by Wedding Day Venues Magazine and SS Great Britain for a feature.  This is our first national magazine feature so we were chuffed! 

Sam & Alex were such a lovely couple to work with and they planned a really fun wedding day; this was one of the reasons they booked the boat for their reception! You can read all about their day in the latest issue of Wedding Day Venues Magazine
