I was delighted when Miranda and Clint decided to book us to photograph the their wedding ceremony and reception at The Langton Arms, Country Inn.

The Langton Arms Wedding

The Langton Arms is one of our favourite venues and suits any couple looking to have a relaxed country wedding, which is a little bit different! Miranda is a familiar face to The Langton Arms and knows the team there well, as she provides Wedding Make-up for many Brides who marry at the venue.

Miranda and Clint are a fun couple and are obviously very much in love! Before the big day we met up to discuss their wedding and found out a little more about their special day.

Miranda and Clint are both enthusiastic football supporters, Miranda supports Manchester United and Clint supports Chelsea. Their wedding colours were based on the colours of their teams, Red White and Blue. They are also lovers of VW's (as are we) and had booked (wedding camper van) 'Dorothy' for their wedding.

I always like to find out a little about the bride's dress before the wedding and Miranda told me it was medieval and a little but different, so I was very excited to see her all dressed up on the day, as were her friends and family!

We took some shots of Groom and his Best men, of which he had two, a Best Man and a Best Woman.

Miranda arrived in Dorothy, a white split screen camper van, which was supplied by The Wedding Bug, run by Pete and Angie from Bournemouth, who were so helpful and have a choice of two camper vans and a beetle karman called Henry!

Miranda soon arrived with her parents in Dorothy and was dressed in a beautiful medieval styled dress with long draping sleeves, daisies in her hair and a bright red hooded cape, which suited the venue perfectly. She was carrying a lovely white bouquet, which she made. The brides mother, kindly grew some of the flowers of the wedding day.

Guests were awaiting the arrival of the bride in the ceremony room. The Wedding ceremony was beautiful and full of emotion.

After the ceremony we joined Miranda and Clint and took a ride in Dorothy to a cottage in Tarrant Gunville.

Miranda, Clint and Dorothy

The cottage is special and hold many happy memoried for Miranda. Originally brought by Miranda's great grandfather, Harry Bailey. Three generations went on to live there, Mirana's Grandad & Gran, Great Uncle Cyril and Miranda's Mum & twin Sister. Miranda spent a happy childhood visiting grandparents there and remember the house full of laughter and friendly faces visiting, as her Granny, Aggie was a very kindly soul and always had a pot of tea at the ready.

The cottage was sold in the early 80's and it is with thanks to the new owners that we were able to take some photographs in the garden.

We then headed back to The Langton Arms, where guests made their way to The Function Room for the wedding breakfast. The Tables were decorated with beatiful bright, red, white and blue flowers, chocolate footballs and co-ordinated name cards. The tables were names after cities in America, the head table being 'New York', as the couple were off to Las Vegas for an adventure packed honeymoon, with plans to see the Grand Canyon. Clint is also a massive Elvis fan & ACDC fan and was looking forward to seeing ACDC live on tour.
