Kranjska Gora, Slovenia Our first time on the slopes!

The weekend before last we (Scott, my sister and I) woke up in the middle of the night and headed down the winding country lanes to Bristol Airport to catch our flight to Salzburg. Unfortunately we didn't quite make it straight there as due to a technical fault with our Aeroplanes' hydraulics, we landed in Milan Airport. Five hours later we got back on board and made our way to Salzburg...it was a rather bumpy landing through thick cloud and once landed there was a round of applause!

It was dark when we arrived in Salzburg city centre and we had missed the last train to Jesenice so decided to stay in Salzburg for the night, on the top floor of Hotel Europa, which had amazing views of the city.

We woke in time to catch the first train to Jesenice. It was cold and about to get much colder.

The train journey was the prettiest we have been on, with thick snow on the fields, icicles hanging from the rocks and frosted white tree tops. We were glued to the windows watching the landscape change. At times we were above the clouds!

We finally arrived at Jesenice and made our way by bus to our final destination, Kranjska Gora.

From the moment we arrived we were amazed at how beautiful the village was. The slopes were ideal for beginners and we loved being out in the snow every day.

A highlight of our trip was a walk through the Tamar Valley to see the Olympic Planica Ski Jumps. When we told our hotel owner that we were going on a walk to the jumps she quickly grabbed her keys and offered to drive us there...she dropped us off at the local village and told us it was -12 degrees. For a moment we felt stranded but were soon overwhelmed by the beautiful landscape, it was like something out of Narnia.

A wooden cabin at the top of the valley. Where we drank strong coffee and Mountain flower tea.

A 12 mile walk through the Tamar Valley in -12 degrees. A winter wonderland, one of the most beautiful walks we have ever been on!

The snow squeeked underfoot, I love the sound of walking on fresh snow.

All the farms had these, used for storing and drying logs.

The plan was for us all to make snow angels, but we let Cathy go first!

On the last day we went for a walk in the early morning, just a mile from our hotel, towards the mountain in search of a lake. It was frozen over, but the light was beautiful that morning, the snow and trees glistened!

The last photo of the trip; The church spire looking through the village, a view we passed every morning on the way to the slopes, which were only metres away from our hotel!

We miss the snow, the slopes and the mountains and I think we have caught the bug for skiing and snowboarding!

What a year 2011 has been! We would like to say a huge Thank You to all the couples we have had the pleasure of working with.

We introduced our Engagement Sessions for the first time and got to spend more time with our clients before their wedding day. Our couples took us across the countryside, along the beaches to beautiful Castles and quaint villages along the way!

Highlights for us include Cara & Steven's outdoor wedding at The Larmer Tree Gardens. Dawn & Alex's vintage inspired wedding at Stanwell House, Karen & Dougie's medieval barn wedding in Sherborne and Elly & John's Christmas wedding at Sherborne Castle, which finished our year on a high!

We have booked our first destination weddings for next year and are looking forward to travelling to Marseille, Dole and to Duns Castle in Scotland. We have never been to Scotland before so can't wait to explore and photograph the surrounding area.

We wish all our couples and colleagues a very Happy New Year and hear is to an even better 2012!

Elly & John are such a fun, warm couple. This was our last wedding of the year and it ended on a high! Elly and John's Christmas wedding was held at Sherborne Castle.

We met Elly and the Bridesmaids in the morning at her parents house in the middle of the Dorset countryside. Elly wore a beautiful berry red dress, which had a huge black bow at the back. Her shoes were black peep toe heels and to compliment her 1950's vintage look she work a white bird cage veil.

Elly looked stunning and radiant and had a huge grin on her face all day! The Bridesmaids looked really stylish in black with their red rose bouquets. Each of the Bridesmaids wore a fur shrug to keep them warm on the way to the ceremony. A work colleague of Elly had leant her a beautiful vintage fur coat for the day.

During Elly & John's wedding ceremony they sang Christmas carols including 'Winter Wonderland'. Everyone also sang 'When i'm sixy four' by the Beatles. The songs were such a lovely part of their ceremony and put everyone in a festive mood!

Elly and John decided to have an intimate wedding inviting just their nearest and dearest friends and family. Following their ceremony canapes were served which included trout caught by both the Bride and Groom's fathers. The guests then made their way to Elly's family's local pub, which is known for it's delicious food. Everyone involved with Elly and John's wedding had a connection with the couple. Even the mini bus driver who took the bridesmaids to the Castle used to drive Elly to school when she was younger!

A Vintage Christmas Winter Wedding Sherborne Castle Elly & John

Elly and John are such a fun, warm and natural couple! They had a Winter wedding at Sherborne Castle complete with carol singing and vintage fur coats!

I love these two photographs. The first of the couple giggling during their wedding ceremony and the second of the couple with the lake behind them and the winter sun.

I don't think there is a shot of these two without a huge grin on their faces. More to follow shortly!

Cinderella Pantomime Engagement Winchester Royal Theatre Fran & Chris

Fran is a Theatre production manager and Chris a laser physicist. Once upon a time Chris got down on one knee and proposed to Fran on stage whist she was working. It was a complete suprise and to everyone's delight Fran said Yes!

We met up with Fran & Chris at the Theatre Royal, Winchester as Fran is in the midst of this years Pantomime, Cinderella on one of her rare days off, to take some shots of her and Chris around the Theatre.

As you can see we had a lot of fun, laughter and pretty much any backdrop, lighting combo we wanted. Thanks so much to you both and your techie friend for the lighting and background changes.

We look forward to your wedding next Spring and I am sure there will be many more suprises in store!

Rhinefield House Wedding The New Forest Gemma & David Part II

Following Part I of Gemma & David's wedding ceremony at St. Annes Roman Catholic Church in Brockenhurst here is Part II.

Gemma & David's wedding reception was held at Rhinefield House Hotel, set in the middle of the New Forest, Hampshire. It was the perfect setting for their Winter Wonderland wedding. Gemma looked stunning in her lace dress and Audrey Hepburn hairstyle. I loved the classical style of their wedding!

We took some portraits of the couple in the gardens, which back on to the forest itself, before heading inside for the wedding breakfast. The banquetting hall was beautifully decorated with white flowers, candles and table names of the couples favourite places, which were hand drawn by the Best Man.

The band were on fire in the evening; The singer certainly wasn't camera shy and got everyone up and dancing. Before we left we went with the couple to the beautiful Indian Room, which has to be my favourite rooms in Rhinefield House Hotel, it is so colourful and intricately decorated.

New Forest Wedding Hampshire Gemma & David Part I

Gemma & David had a Winter wedding in the middle of the New Forest, Hampshire. The preparations began at Rhinefield House Hotel, which is set amongst huge fir trees.

Gemma & David's wedding ceremony took place at St Annes Roman Catholic Church in Brockenhurst, just down the road from Rhinefield House. The church was filled with candles, ivy and white flowers, which gave the room a romantic feel. Frankincense burned as guests awaiting for Gemma to arrive.

The ceremony was beautiful and the Vicar told many stories of the meaning of love today and explained the Greek words for love, of which there are four; Agape, Eros, Philia and Storge.

Following the ceremony we were joined by a couple of passing donkeys, which Gemma was thrilled about! We then made our way back to Rhinefield House for the Reception in Part II

Our trip to Barcelona Summer Holiday

Scott and I went to Barcelona at the end of August. We have both always wanted to see Gaudi's architecture and of course try some authentic Tapas. It was good to have a break after the peak wedding season (we still have a couple of weddings left this year) and soak up the sun! I have only just got round to editing some of our snaps, which were shot on our Lumix GF1.

It was our first time visiting the City and it seems like a city that never sleeps; it is buzzing and colourful! We packed a lot into our short stay and only stopped to soak up the sun on the sands of Barcelona beach.

Our highlights were Gaudi Parc Guell, going inside one of Gaudi's buildings, Casa Batllo up to the rooftop and swimming in the sea on Barcelona Beach-the waves were huge! We also found a Cafe just down the road from our hotel were we went every morning for a breakfast of focaccia and espresso!

Compton House Sherborne An Intimate Stately Home Wedding Justine & Ricky

Justine & Ricky got married on the morning of the 18th October at Sherborne Registry Office. They then had their Wedding Blessing at St. Michaels church in Over Compton later that day. We arrived at Compton House, a beautiful Stately Home just outside Sherborne for the preparations.

Compton House is an amazing venue with a mix of classical and contemporary interiors and was the perfect venue for Justine and Ricky's Intimate wedding with their children, family and closest friends.

St Michaels Church, where their blessing took place is within the grounds and right nextdoor to the Manor House.

I photographed Justine getting ready in the bridal suite and took some details of her stunning beaded wedding dress, whilst guests were making their way to the church. We could take a peek at the guests arriving from the bedroom window and the children enjoyed spotting their relatives.

There was a really cosy party atmosphere inside the house as the cold night drew in. We left the party just after the cutting of the cake!

Compton House, Over Compton, Sherborne Justine & Ricky Wedding Preview

Justine & Ricky got married on the 18th October with their wedding at Sherborne Registry Office. They then held their wedding blessing at The Church of St Michaels with the rest of the celebration at Compton House in the village of Over Compton, just outside Sherborne.

A Medieval Barn Banquet Lower Stockbridge Farm Barn Sherborne

Following their wedding ceremony in Part I here's Part II of Karen & Dougie's rustic country wedding was held in the medieval barn at Lower Stockbridge Farm. This venue was perfect for the knees up they had planned in the evening, which began with a drink receptionin the Autumn sun.

We wondered through a nearby field with Karen and Dougie to make the most of the Golden Hour before the sun set and the Wedding Banquet began.

The medieval barn had been decorated with many homemade details including colourful bunting, springs of wheat tied up in each napkin, fur cone place name holders and homemade chutney wedding favours, even the cake stand had been made from the branch of a tree.

As soon as the band were set everyine took to the dance floor and danced the night away!

Rustic-Country-Wedding Sherborne Karen & Dougie

Karen and Dougie got married on the 15th October in Bradford Abbas, a village just outside Sherborne. I joined the girls at Karen's parents Farmhouse for the bridal preparations whilst Scott headed over to the boys in Sherborne town centre.

Karen and Dougie's wedding was full of rustic details perfect for an Autumn wedding and the weather was sunny all day.

Dougie is Scottish and the couple met whilst living in New Zealand so there were many guests travelling a great distance to celebrate because of this many of the guests were also going back to Karen's parents Farmhouse for more celebrations the following day.

Once the boys were ready they headed off to the pub next door to the church for some drinks before the ceremony began.

Mary the virgin church is said to be one of Dorset's prettiest church, set in the picturesque village of Bradford Abbas just outside Sherborne. Once the ceremony was complete guests left to the sound of Bagpipes as they made their way outside before heading off to Lower Stockbridge Farm Barn, where a banquet awaited in Part II.

Joanne & Jason's Country Wedding Blandford Forum Dorset

Joanne and Jason got married on 17th September in Shillingstone, a village just outside Blandford Forum. We met Joanne and her bridesmaids at her parents house as preparations got underway. During the morning we had a visit from one of the ushers, who had come to deliver a gift from Jason to Joanne. He had bought her a beautiful Pandora bracelet with a church charm for her to wear.

We made our way to Shillingstone Church, where the ceremony was taking place and guests were filling up the pews. Joanne arrived in a vintage car and walked with her father and bridesmaids to the church.

Following the ceremony as guests were congratulating the couple as if out of nowhere the heavens opened. We all dashed for cover under a yew tree, whilst we waited for it to blow over, unfortunately that didn't happen so we headed off to Durweston Village Hall for the reception. As soon as we arrived it had stopped; There's no beating English weather!

We didn't let it put a damper on the day and were able to head out on the green for some shots with the couple in the beautiful evening light, which you can see in Part II

Joanne & Jason's Village Hall Wedding Durweston Dorset

Following Joanne & Jason's wedding ceremony in Part I their reception was held at Durweston Village Hall, which had been beautifully decorated with butterfly details and purple and white flowers. We left the church in the rain and luckily the showers stopped as we arrived at the village hall.

We had planned to take some shots in the field behind the church but weren't able to due to the weather so throughout the evening Scott and I kept an eager eye on the weather in the hope for a break in the clouds.

Luckily in the early evening there was a break in the clouds and the sun shone through. We made a dash for the green with Joanne and Jason and the light was perfect, that soft Autumn light you get in the golden hour. Well worth waiting for!

Sherborne Castle Wedding Photography Rebecca & Giles Part II

Following Rebecca & Giles' wedding ceremony in Part I at St Magdalene Church in Castleton we headed to Sherborne Castle for their reception. Sherborne Castle is an impressive building and is set in the most beautiful countryside.

Drinks reception was held in the Orangery, which is set in the formal gardens. We went off with the couple around the grounds, where we really were spoilt for choice with so many beautiful backdrops to choose from.

The couples evening celebrations were held in a marquee beside the lake. The Marquee was beautifully decorated by Giles' mum, who put flowers from her garden into vintage teacups on each table.

After the wedding breakfast and as the sun was setting we headed down to the boathouse beside the lake with Rebecca & Giles to make the most of the late summer light.

Sherborne Wedding Photography St Mary Magdalene Dorset Rebecca & Giles

Rebecca and Giles got married on 10th September at The Church of St Mary Magdalene in Castleton, Sherborne. Castleton Church is nextdoor to the Sherborne Old Castle ruins just over the lake from the couples reception venue.

We began the day in the village of East Coker at Giles parents house where Rebecca and her Bridesmaids were getting ready. Scott popped down the road to meet Giles and the boys at the local pub before they made their way to church.

St Mary Magdalene is a quaint Norman Church and quite unusual inside and out. Following the ceremony we all travelled a stone's throw away to the other side of the lake where another Castle awaited.

SS Great Britain Wedding Photography Bristol Samantha & Alex

Following Sam & Alex's wedding ceremony at the impressive Christ Church, Clifton in Part I we headed towards Clifton Suspension Bridge one of Sam & Alex's favourite spots in Bristol. We then made our way through Clifton village on the hunt for one of the many Gorilla's from the 'Wow Gorilla' public art project to celebrate the 175th annivesary of Bristol Zoo Gardens. I am pleased to report we found one in a quiet courtyard.

Sam & Alex's reception took place aboard Brunel's SS Great Britain, a huge ship, which you may remember from their engagement shoot! It was a really fun venue and guests enjoyed exploring all areas of the ship during the evening. Drinks reception took place on the top deck and the wedding breakfast was below deck in the banquetting room, which has a lot the ship's original features.

We thouroughly enjoyed our day with Sam, Alex and all their guests and wish them all the best!

A Clifton Wedding Christ Church, Bristol Samantha & Alex

Samantha & Alex got married on 20th August at the beautiful Christ Church in Clifton, Bristol. The church is an impressive building with a tall steeple and is a short distance from the Clifton Suspension Bridge, which we headed to following the ceremony in Part II.

We met up with Samantha and the girls at The Bristol Hotel, where they were getting ready. Everybody was very chilled out in the morning and we could hear a Saxophonist playing outside the hotel window, which helped set the mood.

The photographs begin with Sam's stunning Karen Millen shoes complete with bling, aren't they gorgeous! I also love the bright pink Bridesmaid's dresses.

The ceremony was again laid back and Samantha and Alex were beaming throughout. I love the smiles Alex gave Sam during the hymns.

Following the ceremony we made our way to Brunel's SS Great Britain, where the reception took place in Part II

A Late Summer Wedding in Oxford Punting on the river Sally & Craig

Sally & Craig had a Late Summer Wedding in Oxford on the 3rd September. Sally is Scott's sister so it was an extra special wedding for us. Naturally we took our cameras!

Sally and Craig invited close friends and family to join them for the celebrations, which began at Oxford Registry Office. Sally & Craig both have a gift for writing and made their own wedding promises to each other, which were beautifully written & a very special part of their wedding ceremony.

Following the ceremony guests made their way to Cherwell Boathouse, which overlooked the river. After a delicious meal we joined the couple for a spot of punting on the river. Punting was a lot of fun and it was great to see everyone suited and booted out on the river trying their best not to rock the boat!

Once we were on land we headed to Oxford Botanical Gardens, where Sally and Craig opened their wedding presents, it was lovely to see their faces as they unwrapped their gifts, something you don't often get to see.

As the evening drew in we headed to The Kings Arms, a traditional pub in the heart of the city. This was the first stop of a list of character filled pubs Sally and Craig hoped to visit and it was here we had to leave to head back to Dorset. We hope you visited many more pubs and had a wonderful evening!

Clifton Wedding Photography Alex & Samantha Sneak Peek

Samantha & Alex got married on the 20th August in Christ Church Clifton and had their Reception aboard the SS Great Britain. We had such a great day with these two and can't wait to share more of their photographs with you. But until then hear is a little taster.

Kingston Country Courtyard Barn Wedding Purbeck Melanie & Christopher

Following Melanie & Chris' wedding ceremony in Part I the Reception was held at the Kingston Country Courtyard. Melanie & Christopher really wanted to have their reception in a rustic barn as they both met whilst working on a Dairy Farm. As soon as they looked around Kingston Country Courtyard they knew it was the one!

This venue is ideally placed a short distance from Corfe Castle and from the gardens you can see across the Purbeck hills to the Castle itself. You can also just make out the sea.

The Old Granery was decorated with country flowers and one of the Bridesmaids made her own handmade chocolate truffles as favours, which we were lucky enough to sample and they were delicious.

After drinks in the gardens the guests were seated for the speeches. Wedding breakfast included a joint of lamb which was cut at the table by one of the guests, which was shortly followed by the cutting of the cake. How great is the Bride and Groom cow cake topper!

A Rustic Country Fayre Wedding Dorset Melanie & Chris

Melanie & Chris got married on 6th August at St Marys Church in Iwerne Courtney, Blandford Forum. You may remember these two from their engagement session, which we shot at Corfe Castle.

Melanie and Chris met whilst working on a Dairy Farm and so wanted to make their wedding personal and reflect their love of the countryside. Melanie certainly made us smile when she greeted us wearing her cow print all in one pyjamas.

Melanie and Chris got married in Iwerne Courtney, where they grew up at their local church. St Marys had been decorated with beautiful flowers by one of their friends. Dried Lavender flowers had been sprinkled on the floor of the Church's entrance so as guests entered the ceremony they were crushed underfoot; The church smelt wonderful!

Following the ceremony guests walked to the village hall where Melanie's French family had made some tasty nibbles. On the village green Country Dancers put on a performance for the couple, which everyone got to join in. The country dancers were adorable!

Joanne & Jason love the countryside. We met up with them to take a look around their wedding venues and have a chat about their plans for the day.

The couple are getting married in the village of Shillingstone and are then heading to Durweston Village Hall for their reception.

Behind their Church; Holy Rood are fields, where the couple often walk their Beagle! We made the most of the long grass and waked down to the old railway track, it is really beautiful countryside.

We are looking forward to seeing these two again very soon!

Karen & Dougie are getting married at Lower Stockbridge Farm Barn in October and are having a country rustic wedding with lots of handmade details!

We met up with the couple in Bradford Abbas, which is a beautiful English Country Village just outside Sherborne. Mary The Virgin Church is reputed to be one of the prettiest churches in Dorset and I would have to vouch for that.

We took a stroll around the village and found a foot path leading to a river, so took some shots in the shade on the bridge, before making our way to the village pub and a lovely old phone box, which you don't see enough of these days.

Following Part I of Alyssa & James ceremony at St. Johns Churh in Wimborne, guests made their way down the country lanes to The Langton Arms, a thatched pub in the typical Dorset village of Tarrant Monkton.

We made our way with Alyssa & James down to the ford and to Taddlestones cottage, where Scott photographed the guys getting ready earlier that day.

Tarrant Monkton has to be one of the prettiest villages in Dorset. The cottages are picture perfect! The weeping willow and cottage garden are both lovely spots to take photographs.

The wedding breakfast was held in a marquee, which had been decked out with vases of bright sunflowers on each table and they had sunflower cupcakes to match!

The dance floor was decked out with bunting and it's here we left the couple and guests to dance the night away!

Wimborne Wedding Photography Alyssa & James Part I

Part I of Alyssa & James' country wedding: Alyssa & James got married on 30th July at St. Johns church in Wimborne. In the morning I met up with the girls in Colehill, while Scott met the guys at Taddlestones Cottage in Tarrant Monkton.

Alyssa's Mum is American and family had made their way overseas for Alyssa & James' wedding day. It was great to meet everyone in the morning and there was a lot of excitement whilst the Bridesmaids were getting ready.

You may spot Alyssa's adorable Scottie Dog in the pictures, who decided to take a wonder around the neighbourhood whilst everyone was busy getting ready. Luckily Alyssa was reunited with him for some photos before we left for the ceremony in town.

We then headed off to Tarrant Monkton, where the couple had their reception in a beautiful marquee in Part II

Lymington Wedding Photography Hampshire Dawn & Alex's Vintage Chic Wedding

Following their wedding ceremony in Part I here's Part II of Dawn & Alex's vintage chic wedding at Stanwell House Hotel. We walked down the cobbled high street to Lymington Quay to take some shots of the couple on the jetty. The light was perfect down by the water and we had an audience by the time we finished.

When we headed back guests were milling in the gardens drinking champagne before the wedding breakfast. The tables were decorated with handmade place names, silver buttons, sweets in jars, cup cakes, vintage frames and country flowers all in pinks and purple, which were the colours that ran throughout the day.

As the evening came guests had tea, cake and sweets in the conservatory, which was decorated with candles and fairy lights. Dawn and Alex had their first dance and all the guests gathered to watch (no pressure then!) everyone joined the couple on the dance floor as soon as they could!

Congratulations to you both! We are so pleased you had a great time on your honeymoon...

The New Forest Photography Stanwell House Dawn & Alex's wedding

Part I: Dawn & Alex got married on 29th July at Stanwell House in Lymington. Lymington is on the edge of The New Forest right by the quay and has that relaxed seaside feel! Dawn & Alex have always loved Stanwell House and the forest, so chose this setting for their chic wedding.

Dawn and Alex are so natural together and it was a pleasure to be a part of their day. Their wedding was full of personal touches and most of the details were made by Dawn, Dawn's mum and an array of tallented friends!

I began the day with Dawn up on the balcony, where hair and make-up was underway, whilst Scott was downstairs with the boys. Dawn looked stunning in her Suzanne Neville wedding dress and lace bolero so much so that the staff were knocking on the door to take a peek before the ceremony.

The ceremony room was beautiful and light and the ceremony itself was full of laughter. Following the ceremony we ventured down the cobbled lane to Lymington Quay to take some shots of the couple alone before heading back to the gardens for drinks and confetti!

Winchester Guildhall Photographer Hampshire Susan & Harry

Part II: Following their wedding ceremony at the Hospital of St. Cross in Winchester we wandered round the walled gardens with Susan & Harry to take some photographs of them whilst the rest of the wedding party made their way to Winchester Guildhall. The gardens in the grounds of St. Cross Hospital are beautiful and it was lovely to re-visit them on a Summer's day; as the last time we were there with the couple was for their engagement shoot in November!

Susan & Harry departed in a beautiful vintage car to Winchester Guildhall, where their hockey team were ready to greet them armed with sticks and confetti as they made their entrance. The evening celebrations were held in the grand King Charles Hall.

Harry & Susan will be starting married life in Cyprus as Susan is joining Harry who has been posted there for some months. We wish you all the best with your journey and hope you settle in well!

Winchester Wedding Photography The Hospital of St. Cross Church Harry & Susan

Susan and Harry got married on the 23rd July at The Hospital of St. Cross Church in Winchester. The Church itself is an impressive building and is right by the water meadows on the edge of the city. From the walled gardens in the grounds you can also see the famous landmark of St. Catherine's hill.

We started the day with Susan, her Mother and Bridesmaids at the Hotel Du Vin, which are always so beautifully decorated. Susan has the best smile and was so excited whilst getting ready.

The guys were meeting at the pub just down the lane from the church and so Scott met them there before they made their way to the ceremony. The Groomsmen all looked smart with their top hats and Harry in his Military Uniform.

The ceremony was lovely, I especially liked the reading they had from 'Winnie the Pooh'. Following the ceremony guests milled in the walled gardens before making their way to Winchester Guildhall for Reception in Part II.

Mel and Chris got married at St. Mary's Church on the 6th August in the village of Iwerne Courtney, Shroton. Following their reception, country dancers performed on the village green, whilst guests watched and later joined in!

Guests then made their way to the Perbeck for reception which was held in the Barn at Kingston Country Courtyard

The New Forest Engagement Photography Rhinefield House Gemma & David

We met Gemma & David one sunny Sunday afternoon at Rhinefield House, where the couple will be having their wedding later this year!

We took a walk amongst giant red firs in The New Forest, Hampshire for the couple's pre-wedding shoot.

We can't wait for Gemma & David's winter wedding and are looking forward to heading back to Rhinefield House and taking some shots of the beautiful rooms there. How magical would Rhinefield House look in the snow!

Wiltshire Wedding Photography English Country Barn Wedding Hannah & Luke

Hannah & Luke got married on the 16th July in the deep Wiltshire Countryside. Their wedding ceremony was held at the village church in Donhead St.Mary.

We had all kinds of weather on the day and unfortunately just as Hannah arrived the heavens opened, so we all made a dash for cover. Luckily by the time Hannah & Luke were wed and went back outside through the church doors the sun was out.

We all made our way down the winding country lanes to Ashleywood Farm Barn in Tisbury where the guests milled around in the barn eating cream teas before the wedding breakfast. The tables were decked with country flowers in terracotta pots and guests had their own labled flower pot to take away.

We thouroughly enjoyed Hannah & Luke's rustic English Country Wedding and wish them all the best!

A Farm Wedding in Somerset Katrina & James' Wedding Photography Part II

Following Katie & James' ceremony in Part I everyone made their way to the wedding reception, which was held at James' Grandparents farm in Wellington, Somerset.

As the sun was setting we took a walk with the couple around the Farmhouse gardens. It was the pefect Summer's evening. Below you can see the details of Katie's beautiful Sassi Holford wedding dress, I love the big bows at the back and the delicate lace.

Katrina & James got married on the 9th July at All Saints Church in Culmstock, Somerset. I met Katie and her bridesmaids at James' Grandparents farm in the village of Nicholashayne in the morning. As I arrived Katie was still putting the finishing touches to the marquee ready for their Reception.

The wedding parquee was decked out with English country garden flowers, lanterns and fresh herbs.

RNLI College wedding Helen & James' Nautical Wedding Poole

Part II of Helen & James' nautical wedding took place at the RNLI College in Poole, which is a spectacular building. Following the couples ceremony in Part I we followed Helen & James in their wedding Beetle down to the sea to take some shots on the beach.

We then headed to the RNLI College which is by the water's edge. The couple had organised a boat for guests to take trips on during the evening, which we hopped on.

The college is a perfect setting on a summers evening and the sunset over the water was beautiful that night!

James is in the Navy and the couple both love the sea so their wedding had a nautical theme. Following the wedding ceremony at Christ Church in Westbourne we headed to the beach with the couple before joining their guests at the RNLI College in Poole Part II where we took to the water!

Kenna & Philip actually got married in New York, where they both live, in what was described as a rather speedy ceremony. They wanted to celebrate their day in England with friends and family from around the world at Chettle House. Chettle House is special to the couple and has family connections for Kenna.

Their day was a wonderful relaxed wedding celebration with their closest friends and family in the beautiful Queen Anne House and English country gardens.

Hotel Grosvenor Wedding Shaftesbury Cara & Steven's Alice in Wonderland Banquet Dorset

Cara & Steven married in the Larmer Tree Gardens Temple (See part I and part II of their wedding celebrations). Everyone then made their way back to Hotel Grosvenor for a sit down meal in the banqueting hall. The tables were decorated with an Alice in Wonderland theme, carrying on from the Tea Party they had earlier in The Larmer Tree Gardens.

The table names were written on tea cup cards and were taken from the characters in the 'Alice in Wonderland' novel. The Hotel Grosvenor is right by Gold Hill in Shaftesbury, which is famous for starring in the Hovis bread adverts. We stopped off at Gold Hill to take some shots in the early evening. The light was beautiful and spilled into the room throughout the speeches. I loved Cara's change of dress for the evening, a short Topshop number, which showed off her Vivienne Westwood 'Melissa' shoes!

We had such fun photographing these two and would like to thank all their friends and family for a truly wonderful day! We hope Cara & Steven have a wonderful time on their American road trip and we can't wait to see your holiday photographs.

Larmer Tree Gardens Wedding Photography A Garden Tea Party Wedding Wiltshire

Here's Part II of Cara & Steven's wedding following their ceremony (Part I) in the The Larmer Tree Gardens Temple. The Larmer Tree Gardens is such a fantastic venue and it's great to have a venue on our doorstep that offers Outdoor wedding ceremonies. Cara and Steven had a 'Secret garden' wedding held on a weekday and chose to get married in the Temple. There are a few different buildings to choose from, but I do love the temple. Following their ceremony guests played croquet on the lawn and helped themselves to the table of sweet treats enjoying a tea party under the marquee.

The tables were decked with cakes and cookies from the Hummingbird Bakery and was decorated with vintage silverware and roses. I loved the 'love is sweet' lables and later on the 'Mr & Mrs' props that Cara got from Etsy.

A guitarist sung a collection of 60's classics from the Singing Theatre and Cara & Steve danced to 'Lets Dance' by David Bowie for thier first dance in the open air. Do check out part III that was held in the stylish Boutique Grosvenor Hotel, where Cara slipped into a short wedding dress for the evening and her second pair of Vivienne Westwood shoes (how very Rock 'n' Roll!)

Following the day time celebrations in the gardens everyone made their way to Hotel Grosvenor in Shaftesbury. Look out for Cara's evening dress in Part III

Larmer Tree Gardens Wedding Photography Cara & Steven's Retro Wedding Wiltshire

Cara & Steven got married at the Larmer Tree Gardens on the 23rd June. We had been looking forward to photographing this wedding for a long time. When we met Cara & Steven they were so excited about their day and we hit it off right away. Cara told me she 'loved' her dress and showed me a swatch... it was covered in white sequins; I knew we were off to a good start!

We exchanged pictures of our exotic cats and stayed in touch. Cara kept me updated with their plans, their pink cadillac, her many flower girls and all the sweet treats they had planned for the day, including a desert table of Hummingbird bakery cakes and cookies. We kept our fingers crossed for good weather and I am pleased to say the sun shone, even when it showered. Cara & Steven's wedding day began at the stylish boutique Hotel Grosvenor in Shaftesbury, where I fell in love with the pink chair and Cara's Melissa shoes, it was the perfect setting for the couples Rock 'n' Roll wedding.
