A Fun Filled Festival Wedding | Gilbert Whites House, Hampshire| Anna & Johnny
We met with Anna & Johnny the day before their wedding to see their venue. We arrived as they were setting up their marquee in the grounds of Gilbert White's House, home of the pioneering naturalist Gilbert White. Anna and her mum had been busy making bunting, flags, napkins and sewing the names for their table plan, which decorated the marquee. Johnny and Anna were busy decking the tables with flowers & herbs, whilst Johnny's mum was decorating the village church with ornamental trees and beautiful flower arrangements ready for the wedding the following day.
Anna & Johnny planned a relaxed, rustic festival style wedding. In true Glastonbury style it rained on the day and in true festival spirit everybody had fun regardless with their wellies at the ready. Guests dressed up, danced the night away, played games and gathered on the hay bails chatting by candlelight.
We have to give a special mention to Vanilla Catering, who served a delicious three course meal of sugar cured beef carpaccio with Hampshire watercress, guinea fowl and a nougat parfait with seasonal berries for dessert, the food was outstanding! Anna & her friends are queens of baking and cooked up a table of sweet treats, including lavender hearts, florentines, rose & marshmallow cupcakes as well as the biggest Rice Krispie cake I've ever seen!
The fact the rain didn't dampen anyones spirits is a true reflection on this couple, their friends and family and as you can see everyone had so much fun it was a truly wonderful day! Everyone made us feel so very welcome and we would like to say a big thank you to everyone involved!

This is my brother's wedding and I think the photos are fabulous and really capture the day itself. Well done.
Really beautifully shot Lisa and Scott - you have captured the vibe of the day so well, and reflected it perfectly. Beautiful... thank you (friend of Jonny and Annas x Ali
Lovely photos Lisa. It looks like everyone had an amazing day, really well captured! Thanks for sharing.
Ooooh my. This is w-day perfect for me!! I've already emailed Lisa to tell her so! As a wedding planner {and more importantly wedding-HAVER-to-be!} this is just the loveliest wedding I ever did see! Anna & Johnny you guys had the closest thing to what we love and want for our own wedding, that I've seen yet! Too lovely. Congratulations! {And if you'd like, we'd love to feature it on our blog also!} Take care & much happiness to you both!!x
Anna and Jonny I love your wedding! It reminds me of my own wedding day, with the relaxed country feel and your guests walking across the field - and all inspite of the rain! I don't think I would have looked as happy as you both did if it had rained for us, you are a real inspiration to all those couples dreading bad weather and how to carry on regardless :)
