Victoria & Richard planned a fun, laid back wedding at the Larmer Tree Gardens, the couple had seen photos from previous weddings we had shot at the Larmer Tree Gardens, which convinced them to book the venue, which is the best compliment we could ask for!

I met up with Victoria at The Old Manor in Blandford Forum, a beautiful Manor house Victoria and friends hired to get ready for the big day! The day was laid back from the very start! Victoria and Richard are effortlessly stylish. I got excited when I saw Victoria's bright peony filled bouquet by Bright Blooms, her rose gold heels, not to mention her unique wedding dress by Rime Arodaky, a Parisian designer, who's dresses I have a soft spot for!

Meanwhile Scott met Richard at the Larmer Tree Gardens where Richard and his Groomsmen greeted guests and awaited the arrival of the bride. Victoria arrived in a white Rolls Royce and made her entrance walking across the lawn with her Father. Walking down the aisle at the Larmer Tree Gardens always makes for an emotional & dramatic first look. Alani String quartet accompanied the ceremony.

The wedding ceremony took place in the Roman Temple, with guests seated outside in the sunshine. Following the ceremony everyone enjoyed the gardens, canapés and garden games before heading to the Pavilion for the wedding breakfast. Following the speeches Victoria led the way back out to the gardens forming a wedding conga, which ended up at the Lower Indian Room, where the Bride & Groom's favourite cocktails were served. Guests soaked up the last of the sun by the Singing Theatre, before evening dancing began with Vintage wedding band Victoriana.

Becky And Phil's Outdoor Wedding At Standerwick Court Farm, Somerset | |

Becky and Phil got married in rural Somerset; they had a flower filled wedding at Standerwick Farm in Frome. Their wedding ceremony took place outside in the courtyard of this 16th Century Farmhouse with the barn as a backdrop. Becky and Phil made many of the details themselves, such as the ‘Love is all you need’ sign, which made for a great photo with the couple.

Preparations took place with Phil, his groomsmen, family and friends helping with setting up the venue, whilst sipping champagne, while Becky, her mum and bridesmaids were busy getting ready inside the beautiful farmhouse. I loved Becky’s floral crown and colourful rustic bouquet.

Following the wedding ceremony, guests mingled in the grounds, while I wandered around the apple orchard and herb gardens with the bride and groom to take some relaxed shots of them together. The wedding party enjoyed Indian Street Food in the marquee before playing garden games and sipping Pimms.

As the sun set, guests gathered around the fire pits, sitting on hay bales surrounded by fairy lights. The evening ended with a lively ceilidh band.

I love capturing outdoor ceremonies and Standerwick is the perfect setting, with a mix of modern and historic architecture. The farmhouse itself had some wonderful features to document and the outdoor barn is the perfect blank canvas to make your own.

A Modern London Wedding In Hampstead Village | Bistrotheque Hackney | Nadia & Oliver

Nadia & Oliver got married in the Music Room at Burgh House & Hampstead Museum in the picturesque Hampstead Village, London, just a short stroll from Hampstead Heath. Burgh House is a Grade I listed building and the wood paneled Music room made for an elegant ceremony backdrop.

Oliver is German and Nadia is half German, they both met in the UK, where they live now. Nadia & Oliver had originally planned a garden wedding in Germany, but later decided to hold it on home soil so their friends & family could all be there, for Nadia & Oliver this was most important of all!

I met Nadia at their London home, where it was clear to see the couple's love of Scandinavian & modern design, which also influenced their wedding. Nadia designed her own dress, which was created in just two weeks by a talented local pattern cutter; I loved the detail at the back and that her dress had pockets! Scott met Oliver and his friends at the local pub in Hampstead village, just around the corner from Burgh House.

Nadia & Oliver's reception was a complete contrast to Burgh House and took place at the Bistrotheque well known for its tasty food & utilitarian chic. It is in the most unexpected location in Hackney, down a back street & from the outside looks more like a warehouse than a restaurant, but it was the beautiful industrial, no fuss interiors that Nadia & Oliver loved about it. It was the perfect blank canvas for their evening party; a hidden gem!

A London Route master bus arrived to take Nadia, Oliver and their guests to Hackney; it took the perfect route through Camden and along the river before arriving at the Bistrotheque. Guests were baffled as the venue approached as it really is hidden, but once through the door they entered the bar, where cocktails awaited & delicious canapés including traditional Scotch eggs.

The tables were beautifully decorated by Hattie from That Flower Shop with grasses and greenery in various glass bottles, as were the windowsills. The floral arrangements complimented the contemporary setting so well and I loved Hattie's work, she also created Nadia's delicate floral crown.

Guests enjoyed their sit down meal on long trestle tables and following the speeches Nadia & Oliver danced as Nadia's best friend played a collection of disco classics into the night.

Corfe Castle Wedding | Dorset | Stephania & Matthew

Stephania & Matthew live in New York. This was their second wedding and it was held on the beautiful South Coast in Dorset. Stephania and Matthew had a Church ceremony in the picturesque village of Corfe Castle.

Following their ceremony we ventured up to Corfe Castle itself, where we were spoilt for choice with the scenery. The castle is a ruin, which made from some great photo opportunities.The view of Corfe Castle village below is amazing from up there!

Stephania and Matthew were a joy to work with. As you can see we had lots of fun with them, their friends and family, many of whom flew overseas to join the couple for their celebrations.

The reception venue was just along Swanage bay at Durlston Castle, which is situated on a clifftop over looking the sea. The view was spectacular from their reception room, where you can sea the sea from your table. The wedding speeches took place in the gardens with the blue sea as a backdrop.

As the sun set Stephania and Matthew partied the night away with their closest loved ones in true New York style!

This is a big Thank You to all of the lovely couples we got to meet over the years. Thank you for trusting us to and document your wedding celebrations. It is always good to look back at our favourite moments, to remember all the people we have had the privilege to work with and all of the wonderful places we got to travel to do so.

Recently we photographed more weddings locally, since relocating to Bath, Somerset and explored the surrounding areas of the Cotswolds; the countryside is so incredibly beautiful there! We shot our second Elopement in Bath, where Scott and I were both the witnesses and photographers and we also shot a wedding at The Little Theatre, which has been on my wish list for a long time. We returned to some of our favourite venues, the Larmer Tree Gardens and Huntstile Organic Farm, both of which we never tire of and discovered Court Farm in Standerwick just down the road from where we live!

We were also lucky enough to shoot a wedding ceremony at Salisbury Cathedral, which was an amazing backdrop, we almost forgot just how impressive the Cathedral and it's Spire are!

Clemmie & Alex held their stylish Winter wedding reception at the beautiful Ardington House, nestled in the Oxfordshire countryside. Their ceremony took place at Ardington Church, which was filled with candles and gipsophilia.

Clemmie looked beautiful in her sparkling Jenny Packham wedding dress and I loved the Bridesmaid's Tea length TuTu skirts and cashmere top combo; perfect for a cooler day. Drinks reception was held in the house itself, which was beautifully decorated by florists The Green Parlour . Their marquee was beside the lake in Ardington House gardens. You may notice the table settings are all Old Skool Hip Hop artists as Alex is a big fan! It was a pleasure working with these two!

Bath City Wedding | The Roman Baths | Nicola & Sven

Nicola & Sven planned their wedding in the romantic City of Bath as they wanted a City to impress their guests, who would be travelling from all corners of the world.

Sven is Norwegian and Nicola's mum is South American and her father is Indian. Their wedding was a great opportunity for the families to meet and to see the sights of England and Bath isn't a bad place to start!

Nicola & Sven had a twilight ceremony at The Roman Baths and their reception was held in The Pump Rooms just next door. I persuaded the couple to take a tour of the city and make the most of the beautiful Vintage Indian Ambassador's car they had hired. Suzie of Kushi Cars navigated us to some of Bath's most beautiful spots. Riding through the city in this car was a wonderful experience, if you thought the car looked amazing from the outside, just wait until you see the interior!

Nicola & Sven then made their way back to their hotel to get ready for the main event, their wedding ceremony. They both looked amazing, Sven in his traditional Norwegian suit and Nicola in her beautiful Claire Pettibone wedding dress.

I was interviewed by Professional Photography Magazine and asked to share some advise about how I use my blog to attract business and to explain about my online strategy.

I began blogging in 2007, the same year I set up our wedding photography business. Our blog is mainly a place where we showcase the latest weddings we have shot. It was important to start blogging from the start, the ultimate reason for this was to ensure good SEO and build up traffic to our website.

We have always relied heavily on gaining enquiries through our website and so it is still an integral part of our marketing strategy. Blogging is becoming increasingly more personal it os more an open conversation with our clients and readers than a sales pitch, which I feel is positive step forwards for blogs in general and has in my opinion kept them relevant for todays readers.

I plan to share more personal work and insights into the people who make our company (myself and my husband Scott) so that we connect with like minded individuals and that our clients can get to know us on a more personal level. After all we do share one of the most important days with our couples so it is essential that they feel we are good company as well as provide the service they are looking for.

How did you set up the blog?

Originally I used a Wordpress theme. Scott, my husband and business partner has since built a custom content management system on which I can prepare and publish blog posts with ease.

What’s your blog’s main purpose?

Our blog is a showcase of our latest weddings. Its great for new visitors to our site. Potential clients can really get a feel for the photography we offer and get to see a wedding from beginning to end.

Its also for our existing clients, because many of our couples like to keep up to date with our features. We’ve found our blog is used to inspire others with their wedding plans and ideas. The blog has many more pages, and different content so it’s far reaching, more so the the website itself.

How do you put the posts together?

I take time to prepare them, choosing images that focus on our artistic work, as well as those photos that capture emotion and help tell the story of the day. I think of each blog post as a magazine article and want it to look considered and full of visual impact.

How do you choose what to write?

I try and write a little background to each wedding-perhaps a little about the couple, the wedding day itself and the location, for example. This helps set the scene so our readers connect with the images. I always try to write in a personable tone as if I were talking to a client.

How do you encourage traffic?

I spend a lot of time ensuring that the website comes up for relevant key phrases. Organic SEO has worked for us, but it is time consuming.

Victoria & Richard's outdoor garden wedding at The Larmer Tree Gardens in Wiltshire graced the pages of the December/January 2016 Issue of Wedding Magazine. Victoria tells us how she had always wanted an outdoor garden wedding but was worried about our British weather. After visiting the Larmer Tree Gardens they were so taken with the venue that they decided to take the gamble. I for one am so glad they did!

A Colourful Flower Filled Wedding At Cowparsley | Roughmoor Farm, Taunton | Kirsty & Sam

Kirsty works at the beautiful Bramble & Wild florist in Frome, a shop I have got to know well over the last few years. I was delighted when Kirsty got in touch with plans for her and Sam's festival feel wedding at Cowparsley.

Cowparsley is a beautiful spot and part of Roughmoor Farm in Taunton, nestled in the Somerset countryside. Roughmoor Farm has a beautiful farm house, grounds as well as a kitchen garden. It was the perfect spot for Kirsty & Sam's informal wedding day celebrations.

From the moment I met Kirsty we chatted all things weddings, flowers and food reminding ourselves we had better get down to making plans for the wedding! I got to pop into Bramble & Wild regularly for an excuse to catch up on the latest plans and to meet Kirsty & Sam's gorgeous dog if I was lucky.

Kirsty & Sam's wedding day was personal, relaxed, colourful and full of fun. There were also plenty of flowers (all credit to Grace at Bramble & Wild). You have to check out the couple's entirely edible rainbow wedding cake designed by the fabulously talented The Bakemonger.

An Alternative Fifties Barn Wedding At Stockbridge Farm Barn | Sherborne, Dorset | Zoe & Carrie

Zoe & Carrie planned a Fifties Barn wedding at the beautiful medieval, Stockbridge Farm Barn, Sherborne in the Dorset countryside. The day began as the girls were getting ready at home in the village of Milborne Port.

Zoe, Carrie and their Bridesmaids all got ready under one roof for the morning preparations. It's lovely when clients get ready at home as the decor is full of their personalities. It was also Carrie’s birthday so there was plenty of cake, presents & birthday nibbles to add to all the excitement!

Zoe & Carrie’s wedding day included lots of homemade details & personal touches. Zoe handmade all of the bouquets and Carrie made the wooden signing board, as she is a tree surgeon.

The day had a 1950’s theme, Zoe wore a beautiful Audrey Hepburn style white dress, Carrie wore a fitted suit, braces and cravat and the Bridesmaids wore floral and blue dresses with colourful vintage underskirts. I loved that all the Bridesmaids wore comfy converse!

Carrie arrived in a 1950’s pink Cadillac, which was her birthday surprise arranged by Zoe. Carrie arrived with her dad to be greeted by eagerly awaiting guests at Stockbridge Farm Barn. I think Carrie was a little taken aback with the effort her friends & family had put in to dressing up in Fifties attire!

The day was so much fun. From Zoe & Carrie's outdoor ceremony, full of giggles and tears, through to the Rock Band, which began with Metallica’s Nothing Else Matters for the couple’s first dance. The evening entertainment included the hilarious Byng’s, Gameshow, Roadshow, Pig Racing, Disco, which went down very well with all the guests and was very apt for this fun Dorset country wedding!

A Scottish Wedding At The Larmer Tree Gardens | Salisbury, Wiltshire | Lucy & Simon

Lucy & Simon planned their wedding close to Lucy's parents house in Dorset. The Larmer Tree Gardens is nestled on the border of Wiltshire & Dorset. Lucy & Simon wed in the Roman Temple. Simon is Scottish, so naturally there were many kilts parading around & a Bagpiper led the way across the lawn for their ceremony & back out onto the lawn following the ceremony for drinks & garden games.

Lucy & Simon are a fun loving couple and I loved all the personal touches they had on their wedding day, especially the 'His & Hers' cakes of their favourite flavours by Hummingbird Bakery. I also loved the rustic touches, such as the hand cut flowers from The Real Cut Flower Garden.

I have always loved Rime Arodaky’s wedding dresses and knew Lucy had one as soon as I saw the designer’s signature dress bag hanging in her room. Lucy had her dress customised with a navy ribbon sewn at the back to match her navy Manolo Blahnik shoes and Simon’s red & navy kilt.

The speeches were full of laughter and even more laughter! The day ended with lots of dancing to Ceilidh band, Licence to Ceilidh, who kept everyone dancing the night away!

Alternative Castle Wedding In Wiltshire | Old Wardour Castle | Kelly & Thom

Kelly & Thom got married in the Pavilion Room at Old Wardour Castle in Wiltshire. Ever since they sent me a copy of their wedding invitation, I was excited for their wedding!

Kelly & Thom met on Tumblr and have had a long distance relationship, Kelly is from Idaho U.S and Thom is from the U.K, hence the travel theme of their wedding! Kelly & Thom a musician & photographer, amongst other things are both creative types and so were a joy to work with!

We started the day with Kelly who got up early to prepare for their morning ceremony, so lots of coffee was needed! Kelly had plenty of assistance from her Maid of Honour, Jake, who stood in after one of Kelly’s girlfriends couldn’t make it to the wedding. Jake plays guitar in a Jazz band with Kelly, who sings. Jake was wonderful at his role and didn’t get flustered at all, even while attempting to get Kelly in her corseted wedding dress! Most importantly Jake made Kelly giggle while she got ready & throughout the day!

Herbie the VW beetle took Kelly & Jake to Old Wardour Castle. Old Wardour Castle is a magical place and a special place for Scott and I too as its where we got married 5 years ago! Kelly & Thom love all things fantasy, so an English Castle ruins that looks like its straight out of a fairytale was the perfect place for their celebration.

We shot a first look with Kelly & Thom, which we love to do if we can as you can’t beat a first look outside away from onlookers it makes for some lovely photos. Tom hid away in the castle while Kelly walked across the grass into the castle to tap Thom on the shoulder.

After the ceremony guests gathered in the Castle ruins for coffee and pastries and everyone explored the castle and it’s grounds beside the lake. After a break during the day the wedding party met back up at the couple’s reception, a Marquee in the Salisbury countryside with far reaching views. The marquee was decorated carrying on Kelly & Thom’s travel theme. It was the Summer Solstice and so the longest day of the year and come evening we headed out into the fields with Kelly & Thom to capture the evening sunset. Plenty of fun was had with garden games, a bouncy castle, popcorn machine & in the evening the Mobile pizzeria & a Crepe N Waffle stop! We left Kelly & Thom after their sparkler send off after a truly magical day!

I also had to include one of the reading's Kelly & Thom chose for their ceremony as it was so beautiful and very them!

A Castle Wedding In Wiltshire | Old Wardour Castle | Adele & Hugh

Adele & Hugh planned a country wedding and held their ceremony at the beautiful Old Wardour Castle in the Wiltshire countryside. They got married in the Pavilion room, next to the catle ruins. Following their wedding ceremony, drinks were served in the castle ruins; guests could explore the castle and take in the scenery, while catching up with friends and family to celebrate Adele & Hugh's day.

Old Wardour Castle is such a special place, it sits beside a lake in Tisbury village & is surrounded by woodland. It makes for some spectacular images and we got to stay with Adele & Hugh for some photographs as guests made their way to Hugh's family farm in Dorset.

The farm where Adele & Hugh chose to have their marquee reception is again set on a hilltop with far reaching views of North Dorset. I particularly liked their floral wedding stationery, which decorated the tables, along with rustic wild flowers. Wooden wine crates and milk urns were also filled with flowers, hay bails were used as seating and guests helped themselves to bottled beer & homemade lemonade following the speeches. It was the perfect summer wedding in the countryside!

Cotswolds Wedding Photography | Old Down Manor Estate | Michelle & Thomas

Michelle & Thomas held their wedding at Old Down Manor, former home to Mike Oldfield, composer of Tubular Bells. Old Down Manor Estate is located on a hill top in South Gloucestershire on the outskirts of Bristol and has far reaching views across the Severn River. The weather was perfect for Michelle & Thomas' day, it was so hot! Michelle is half Chinese & half Canadian and so family had come from all over to share the couple's day.

I love the bright flowers used to decorate the Manor House, along with giant balloons and strings of pink & gold tassels. The cake table created by Anna Tyler Cakes in Bristol was also a feast for the eyes!

Michelle wore a delicate wedding dress with statement gold glitter Kate Spade wedding shoes and I particularly liked the statement necklace Michelle wore in the evening.

Michelle & Thomas' day was laid back, their ceremony was emotional with hand written wedding vows. Everyone enjoyed the sun playing garden games and sipping Pimm's on the lawn.

We explored the gardens with Michelle & Thomas and found a field full to the brim with daisies! The couple played the game 'Mr & Mrs' after their wedding breakfast, which was enjoyed by all their guests. People were ready to dance in the evening and I have to say this wedding party win at dancing to 'Gangnam Style' hands down!

A Seaside Wedding In Studland | Harry Warren House | Nikki & Sven

You may remember Nikki & Sven from their engagement shoot at Studland Beach. Their wedding ceremony was held in Studland village's St. Nicholas church, walking distance from the beach.

Nikki travelled with her dad and her bridesmaids in convoy through Wareham in a VW bus. They stopped off at the pub on the way to have a celebratory drink in the sunshine, before heading to church.

Nikki & Sven wanted their wedding to be lots of fun, outdoorsy and to make the most of the beautiful backdrop, bringing the beach theme indoors, with their beautifully decorated marquee.

A guitarist played in the gardens as guests arrived at Harry Warren House. Everyone played games and explored the grounds before sitting down for the wedding breakfast. The tables were beautifully decorated with shells, glass bottles, driftwood and flowers. Fish & Chips were served and ice cream followed for the wedding breakfast.

There was a beautiful sunset over Studland bay before the party got started and Nikki & Sven sure know how to party!

A Chic Chelsea Wedding | Home House Club Marylebone, London | Victoria & Denis

Victoria & Denis gave themselves two months to plan their wedding. Victoria is half Greek & Italian and Denis is from Kosova. Victoria & Denis' wedding was a family occasion with lots of children, including Victoria & Denis' own two beautiful children. There was lots of love & passion to capture between these two and we thoroughly enjoyed our day with them both, their friends & families.

Victoria loves the steps at the front of Chelsea Registry Office and this was one of the reasons they chose the venue. After a lovely ceremony, where the couple made their own vows, the party then made their way to Home House Club in Marylebone, London; a stylish club that spans three Georgian town houses on Portman Square in Marylebone, London. Home House Club has beautiful interiors, with a modern vibe and friendly atmosphere; it was the perfect spot for Victoria & Denis' wedding reception!

Following the sit down meal & speeches in the beautiful candlelit drawing room guests broke into traditional Kosovan dance, forming a long line, linking arms and dancing around the tables. More music and dancing followed in the evening, when Victoria went up on stage to sing to start off the evening entertainment.

Harriet & Aseem held their wedding ceremony at the Stone Circle on a hilltop overlooking the somerset countryside at Huntstile Organic Farm. The view from this woodland spot is breathtaking and always makes for a magical wedding and is such a fantastic spot for photos.

I met Harriet in the wooden paneled bedroom, where the girls were getting ready. Harriet wore a beautiful lace dress with a cap veil. Aseem looked the part in his blue suit and the flowers were beautiful, rustic with a handpicked look.

There were lots of happy tears as Harriet & Aseem said their vows to each other; family and friends gathered on the stones & hay bails. Even the resident farm dog joined the congregation. One of the fun parts of the day at Huntstile Organic Farm is the tractor ride up to the stone circle and back. I also love all the animals around the farm, there’s chickens, goats & pigs to name a few. The goats are always curious & this time had a nibble at Harriet’s bouquet!

Drinks and ice cream were enjoyed in the farmhouse gardens at the reception, while the guests enjoyed garden games, such as the coconut shy, cricket & the homemade Photo-booth.

The evening buffet of delicious organic food from Huntstile farm itself was served in the marquee, following the speeches. In the evening a band rocked the dance floor in the farmhouse ‘till the early hours.

A Tipi Wedding On The Kent Coast | Littlestone-on-Sea, Hythe | Charlotte & Toby

Littlestone-on-Sea is a tiny village on the Kent coast and is a special place for both Charlotte & Toby. Charlotte has spent many a family holiday growing up at her parents holiday home, which is where the wedding preparations began for her and her bridesmaids; whilst Toby and the boys prepared and had a drink at a hotel in Hythe, along the beach.

Littlestone-on-Sea also has a connection for Toby, who’s dad used to visit and his grandfather played golf on the golf course where Charlotte & Toby’s reception was held in a group of Tipis. Charlotte’s parents house backs on to the green, which has a great view and so was the perfect spot for their beach themed summer wedding.

Charlotte & Toby wed less than a mile away in St Nicholas church in New Romney, before heading to Littlestone beach for some photographs, whilst their guests hopped on a vintage bluebird bus to reception, where the party began!

A Relaxed Barn Wedding In The Cotswolds | Cripps Barn, Gloucestershire | Nicki & Jack

Nicki & Jack had a relaxed wedding at Cripps Barn, Gloucestershire. We met Nicki & Jack as they were getting ready in the grand Bibury Court Hotel in the beautiful Cotswolds countryside.

Nicki & Jack were so excited to marry; they were both beaming from ear to ear all day long; Such a fun loving couple to spend the day with and their wedding day was equally relaxed. Guests sat in the field by the barn, surrounded by woodland ready for the couple's outdoor wedding ceremony, which was full of emotion!

Nicki & Jack raised their hands in the air as soon as they were pronounced husband and wife & everyone made their way to Cripps Barn for drinks, before beef was carved at the tables by one of the guests.

In the evening there were sparklers, a bonfire & needless to say marshmallows to toast and plenty of dancing!

A Colourful Village Hall Wedding | Droxford, Hampshire | Louise & David

Louise & David held their wedding celebrations in their home village of Droxford, Hampshire near the South Downs. I started the day at the couple's cute cottage in the heart of the village, where preparations were under way! Lou loves her shoes and so needless to say the wedding was the perfect excuse to buy a couple of pairs of Christian Louboutin shoes; I love the fact Lou wore the patent neon orange ones to church and if you look carefully you can also spot David's bright orange soles on his blue suede shoes, during the ceremony!

Lou & Dave's wedding was relaxed, fun and full of laughter; Lou & Dave were smiling from ear to ear all day, which was lovely to document. Following their ceremony everyone drank pimms and bottled beer on the village green before making their way into Droxford Village Hall, which was beautifully decorated with pom poms, bunting, wild flowers and Lou's handcrafted felt bird table names. We thoroughly enjoyed spending the day with Lou, Dave their friends and family!

A Fairytale Woodland Wedding | The Isle Of Purbeck, Swanage | Charlie & Andy

Charlie & Andy love a good fairytale and created a magical feel at their woodland inspired wedding in the Isle of Purbeck, near Swanage. Their ceremony took place in Kingston Country Courtyard barn and their reception was held in a marquee in the gardens. Everything was perfectly planned by Charlie and beautifully decorated!

Charlie wore two vintage dresses, created a woodland backdrop with the help of Pounbury Florists & they had an amazing woodland themed cake by the Angel Cake Company!

Charlie & Andy were such fun to photograph and up for a stroll along some rural country lanes to the local pub for some photos.

Amy & Chris held their wedding celebrations in Bath. Amy is Canadian & Chris an Englishman and after a long distance relationship when they first met, they both now live in Bradford-on-Avon near Bath.

There were many guests from overseas attending Amy & Chris' day so their celebrations were held in one place, The Roman Baths. They had an evening ceremony, which made the most of the magical atmosphere and spent their afternoon with friends at The Royal Crescent Hotel. I loved Amy's bespoke headpiece, their pretty table settings and the ceremony beside the water was perfect! They also had a "first look' before their ceremony, which is always worth doing if you can!

It is always lovely to see our couples in print; Natasha & Jonathan's English countryside wedding was featured in June 2014 edition of flower magazine, a national U.S. "floral lifestyle" publication. Natasha & Jonathan held their reception at the Larmer Tree Gardens on the border of Dorset & Wiltshire in Salisbury. In the evening wedding guests made their way down to the lake to release lotus flower lanterns to make a wish!

A Stylish Outdoor Wedding At West Axnoller Farm | Beaminster, Dorset | Katherine & Keith

Katherine & Keith had an outdoor wedding ceremony at West Axnoller Farm, near Beaminster. West Axnoller Farm is a beautiful farmhouse set in a valley, surrounded by rolling hills and countryside.

Katherine & Keith live in Australia but decided to have their wedding back on home soil as so many of their friends and family live here and it was important to them to share their day with loved ones.

West Axnoller Farmhouse was the perfect setting for Katherine & Keith’s wedding. The couple got married in a secluded courtyard and then headed to the gardens for their drinks reception. Paper pom-poms decorated the trees and lilac and blue parasols with chimes rang in the breeze.

The venue was just as impressive inside, with luxurious interiors and later on the reception was held in a marquee on the field behind the farmhouse.

The day was elegant, stylish and lots of fun and it was a pleasure to be a part of. We hope our photos hold many happy memories of your day spent with all your family & friends.

An Evening Wedding At The Roman Baths | Bath, Somerset | Amy & Chris

Amy & Chris had an elegant winter wedding at The Roman Baths in the city of Bath. There are not many weddings we can walk to, so this was a first!

I met with Amy and the girls at a beautiful apartment in The Circus, whilst Scott headed to Maple & Stone on Milsom Street on the High Street, where Chris and the boys were getting ready. I loved Amy's vintage look, complete with bespoke headpiece by Britten Weddings & gorgeous pastel pink flowers by Bramble & Wild.

Once ready, we headed to The Royal Crescent Hotel courtyard garden for Amy & Chris' first look; always an emotional moment to capture and I love it when our couples are able to do this before their ceremony. We then had a wander through some of the pretty backstreets of Bath, down to the Circus and then back up to The Royal Crescent, where Amy & Chris had drinks and canapes with their friends. As the evening drew in guests made their way to The Roman Baths, where Amy & Chris' evening ceremony would be taking place.

The torches were lit and everyone was seated awaiting Amy and her Father's arrival. The ceremony was magical as was the view across the Roman Baths. Following the ceremony, drinks were served around the Baths before guests made their way to The Pump Room, which was beautifully decorated, with Amy's creative vision and Matthew Oliver's special touch. Amy is Canadian and many of her friends and family had come over to celebrate Chris & Amy's day, so it was a special celebration. The Disco went on late into the night and we left everyone strutting their stuff on the dance floor.

A Winter Wedding At Appuldurcombe House | Ventnor, Isle Of Wight | Chloe & Stephen

Chloe & Stephen met in London but both grew up on the Isle of Wight, so it was important for them to have their wedding back on the Island. They decided to hold their celebrations at the beautiful eighteenth century Appuldurcombe House in Ventnor. This country house is only partly restored with two rooms complete, the rest of the house is an empty shell but it's magical! Appuldurcombe was the perfect blank canvas for Chloe & Stephen to plan their unique and personal wedding day!

Chloe & Stephen used every inch of Appuldurcombe House throughout the day and in the evening guests ventured down to the Gin Den, where a stash of gin & chocolate dips awaited them in the candle lit cellar. It was such fun to be in Chloe & Stephen's company and as you can see their wedding day was full of laughter!

A special mention to The Electric Swing Circus who were amazing in the evening and got everyone making moves on the dance floor!

Daria & Michael live in London, where they both met; an American boy falls in love with a Ukrainian girl. They search for the perfect venue to celebrate their wedding.

We were privileged to be a part of Daria & Michael's day at the grandiose Blenheim Palace in Oxford. Guests came from all over the globe to celebrate. Although Daria & Michael's day was classical in some respects they also know how to have fun and party. We spent time after their ceremony exploring the huge grounds of Blenheim Palace and found one of the couple's favourite spots beside the lake.

The evening reception took place at The Manor at Weston-on-the-Green, a beautiful historical hotel a stone's throw from the Cotswolds. Here Elina Modenova a Ukrainian events co-ordinator got everyone into the party mood with many Ukrainian games and traditions, which made the evening fast paced and a lot of fun!

Nymans Garden Wedding, West Sussex | Loggia Garden Wedding | Jess & Andy

We met with Jess & Andy in Winchester long before their wedding day to find out about their plans. It was clear that they were very excited about their wedding day & that Jess was enjoying the planning so far!

Jess & Andy had described the extensive gardens and romantic ruins at Nymans Garden in West Sussex and the many photo opportunities there. I can see why Jess & Andy fell in love with Nymans Garden; It is so varied and colourful and the flowers were in full bloom for their wedding day!

Jess & Andy married in the beautiful Loggia with guests seated in front, it was a beautiful setting. Champagne was served following the ceremony before guests made their way through the gardens to a hill top meadow, where their marquee reception was held.

Jess & Andy wanted their day to be lots of fun & I think you can see from the photos that the sun came out in full, everyone was beaming and the Ceilidh band played late into the night; so much fun was had!

Jess looked beautiful in her lace Cymbeline wedding dress & Rachel Simpson shoes & Andy in his blue suit!

Le Château De Pupetières Wedding Chabons | French Rhône-Alpes | Marion & Sam

We packed our bags and photography kit in preparation for Marion & Sam's two day wedding celebrations in the Rhône-Alpes region, East France not far from the borders of Switzerland & France. Scott & I planned a road trip around France, stopping in various gîtes, farmhouses & hotels along the way! We explored the Prealps, Lake Bourg, the city of Lyon & the rural countryside near Verdonne.

Marion & Sam had a registry office ceremony in the village of Saint-Siméon-de-Bressieux. We stayed with Marion & the amazing videographer Renaud the night before their wedding in a lovely rustic farmhouse in the middle of the French countryside.

Marion wore a lace wedding dress with pearl buttons at the back, capped sleeves & a beautiful cap veil to match! She accompanied her dress with silver sandals & pearl earrings. On both mornings the couple had a ‘First Look’ before the ceremony, a private moment to see each other all dressed up before they take their vows. Following the ceremony everyone headed to a local restaurant, where a delicious three course meal was served. The food tasted as good as it looked!

Everyone then made their way to Château de Bressieux, Castle ruins on a hilltop, which overlooks the village of Saint Siméon de Bressieux. Marion & Sam climbed to the top of the tower to throw Marion’s bouquet. We then went to a nearby forest & found some beautiful light! Guests went back to Marion's parents house for an evening meal and Marion walked in golden wheat fields with her friends & family as the sun set.

The second day of celebrations took place at Rhône-Alpes France, a gothic style Castle in Chabons in the valley of Bourbre. Marion & Sam got ready at Marion's family home, her family had decorated the garden with paper chains and flowers, which is traditional in Saint-Siméon-de-Bressieux & I was told that each village has it's own tradition! Marion wore a delicate sequin & beaded wedding dress, which looked oriental, her hair was braided in an up do & she wore a long cathedral length veil.

Marion & Sam's commitment ceremony took place outside in the grounds of the castle, beside woodland and a lake, surrounded by mountains. The setting was idyllic and both Sam's Moroccan culture & Marion's French culture were combined perfectly! Marion & Sam read their vows to each other, carried out a traditional Moroccan ceremony & then enjoyed cocktails & canapés in the gardens before their sit down meal. Marion had arranged an alternative to throwing her bouquet; many ribbons were tied to her flowers and friends gathered around each taking a ribbon and circled Marion as she cut a piece of ribbon with her eyes closed one by one, until the last ribbon, which was held by the winner, who won the bouquet! It was good fun and great entertainment for the other guests!

Marion & Sam made their entrance to everyone holding sparklers before their wedding breakfast, which was followed by an array of beautiful tarts & Croquembouche! A friend of the couple was the DJ for their evening disco. During the evening there was a surprise Moroccan wedding ceremony, where the couple both wore traditional Moroccan dress. Sweet Moroccan mint tea & biscuits were served and more dancing followed!

Here are a few words from Marion describing their wedding planning, the celebrations and how she felt on the wedding days, with a translation below for her friends & family!:

Our wedding was a long time coming & much anticipated after all the years we have spent together. I had already made plans in my head long before Sam proposed, so once we were engaged, I had 9 months to make those plans come to life. And I think I did, as the images I had in my head then are the same beautiful and romantic images I have in my head now (completed by the photographs from Lisa & Scott!)

We decided early on to have an intimate wedding over two days, to enjoy the presence of our guests and witnesses who came from abroad. We had less than 20 for our civil ceremony and 58 the next day for our commitment ceremony. Only our closest and dearest friends & family, which was perfect! All the more I was meeting Sam’s family from Morocco, for the first time, on the wedding day! Talk about emotional!

In terms of priorities, we wanted to book a venue that was stunning and historic, serve good food to our guests and work with great photographers and a videographer (to have memories to last a life time!). I struggled a bit to do so because we got married at the most popular time of the year (the last weekend in June – a date booked 18 months in advance). We ended up getting married on a Thursday and Friday, which worked out well for us and all the vendors we wanted to work with were available.

I was lucky to have (mostly!) supportive friends and family that got very involved in the wedding planning. My sisters spent days and days over the design and DIY of the stationery. My dad created or thrifted most of the items we used for the decoration.

Planning this bi-cultural, two-day wedding was intense, to say the least. When it finally came up, I was ready to greet our guests and enjoy the moment with them. A wave of emotions took over me when I saw them arriving at the Château. It is an indescribable feeling to realise that friends and family have gathered to celebrate with us our love and commitment. It made me cry, and I cried some more during the commitment ceremony (a “first” for our guests and for us!). We had the beautiful, intimate, heartfelt wedding we had dreamt of. And the best is yet to come in our marriage!

Après toutes ces années passées ensemble, notre mariage était très attendu. J’avais commencé à faire des plans, des rêves et des projets dans ma tête bien avant la demande en mariage, si bien qu’une fois fiancés, j’avais 9 mois devant moi pour que mes rêves deviennent réalité. Et je crois que j’ai réussi, puisque la vision que j’avais correspond bien aux souvenirs que j’ai aujourd’hui en tête! (complétés par les belles photos de Lisa & Scott!)

Nous avons décidé dès le début d’organiser un mariage intime sur deux jours, pour pouvoir profiter de la présence de nos invités et de nos témoins qui venaient de l’étranger. Nous étions moins de 20 à la mairie et 58 le lendemain, pour la cérémonie d’engagement. Uniquement les personnes les plus proches de nous, ce qui était parfait... d’autant que je rencontrais le jour J, et pour la première fois, la famille de Sam, venue tout droit du Maroc pour l’occasion ! Niveau émotion, j’étais servie !

Concernant l’organisation, nous souhaitions donner la priorité à un bel endroit historique, offrir un bon repas à nos invités et collaborer avec de très bons photographes et vidéaste (pour des souvenirs durables !). J’ai eu un peu de mal à réserver nos prestataires parce que l’on s’est mariés à la période la plus demandée de l’année (le dernier week-end de juin – une date réservée 1 an 1⁄2 à l’avance).

Nous nous sommes mariés un jeudi et vendredi, ce qui était bien pour nous comme pour les disponibilités des prestataires sélectionnés.

J’ai eu la chance que mes amis et membres de la famille soient (majoritairement !) enthousiastes, et qu’ils s’impliquent dans les préparatifs du mariage. Mes sœurs ont passés de nombreux jours à dessiner et faire des ateliers DIY pour toute la papeterie. Mon père a créé lui-même ou chiné la plupart des éléments de déco du mariage.

Organiser ce mariage bi-cuturel sur deux jours fut vraiment intense. Quand le jour J est arrivé, j’étais prête à accueillir nos invités et célébrer ce moment avec eux. Une vague d’émotion est montée en moi quand je les ai vu arriver au Château. C’était un sentiment incroyable de réaliser que nos amis et membres de la famille étaient réunis pour célébrer avec nous notre engagement et notre amour. Ça m’a fait pleurer, et j’ai pleuré de nouveau pendant la cérémonie d’engagement (une première pour nos invités comme pour nous !). Nous avons eu le beau mariage intime et émouvant que nous rêvions d’avoir. Le meilleur reste à venir dans notre union!

A Magical Woodland Engagement | The New Forest, Hampshire | Charlie & Andy

Charlie & Andy love all things magical and wanted an Autumnal feel for their engagement session. Charlie & Andy also love animals, so with New Forest ponies wandering around the New Forest seemed like the perfect setting.

Charlie made a beautiful Autumnal bouquet with seasonal flowers and handmade her floral crown and they even hired a 1940's vintage bicycle for the day.

Charlie & Andy donned their wooly jumpers and boots and braved the cold air, whilst we found some pretty spots in the woods. The sun was perfect that day, shining through the pine trees and golden bracken.

We are very much looking forward to Charlie & Andy's whimsical woodland wedding at Kingston Country Courtyard in May.

A Stroll Around Bradford-on-Avon | Bath | Amy & Christopher

We met Amy & Chris at their beautifully renovated hill top home in Bradford-on-Avon, not far from the city of Bath. We managed to dodge the showers and the grey skies cleared just in time for their engagement session.

Chris was a perfect tour guide, showing us Amy & his favourite spots, we wandered past grand Georgian buildings, went down to the river Avon, passed an old Saxon church and on to a 14th century Tythe Barn. The leaves were changing colour and the winter sun was low. We really enjoyed finding out more about Amy & Chris' wedding plans. They are getting married at a very special venue in Bath, The Roman Baths & are then partying in The Pump Rooms next door.

We are looking forward to meeting Amy's family from Canada and all their friends & family who will be sharing Amy & Chris' celebrations early next year!

Ellie & Raphael married at their local church beside the river Thames in Putney, London. The church was filled with candles and their ceremony was beautiful with singing, readings, tears and giggles!

Following the ceremony guests went aboard a golden route master to The Bingham Hotel, a beautiful boutique hotel backing onto the river in Richmond-upon-Thames.

The reception was stylish with personal handmade touches, made by Ellie and her friends. Everyone had a proper knees up to a band who reunited after many years and they certainly filled the dance floor!

Nikki & Sven got married at St Nicholas Church in Studland and then had a beautiful marquee in the Gardens of Harry Warren House, which is up on the cliff tops over looking the sea and Old Harry Rocks.

Lucy & Elliot had a fun quirky wedding by the sea near Bridport in West Dorset. They married in Symondsbury Church and then headed to the beach in a vintage Buick convertible, before heading to Lucy's parents garden for a marquee reception and mini disco! More from their wedding day coming soon!

Lucy grew up in West Dorset and her family home has far reaching views to the sea. Eype beach is a favourite spot of Lucy & Elliot and despite the fog we ventured along the pebble beach towards the many rock pools below golden cliffs. This part of the Jurassic Coast is rugged and made for some dramatic photos of this lovely couple, who married earlier this month at a village church with a marquee in Lucy's parents garden. Their wedding was such fun and it will be hitting our blog soon!

Nikki & Sven love the beach. Sven proposed to Nikki by Harry Rocks and so Studland seemed like the perfect spot for their pre wedding engagement session.

We took a stroll along the beach, explored the beach huts and even took a dip in the sea, which was surprisingly warm. It was a perfect late Summer's evening and the light was soft.

These two tied the knot earlier this month at Harry Warren House so keep an eye out for their beautiful seaside inspired wedding coming soon!
